Abstract The present Regulations enact the Parks Act. The Regulations lay down provisions relating to the administration and classification of parks. Section 4 establishes the following classes of parks: a) wild land park, b) natural heritage reserve, c) historic park, d) natural environment parks; e) outdoor recreational park; f) wayside park, g) wildlife park. The text – consisting of 40 sections – deals, amongst others, with the following aspects: zoning, management of lands adjacent to a park, occupation of land in park, designated area, fees, agriculture lease, mining, removal of timber, conduct of persons in a park, fires, sport and other activities, hunting and trapping, fishing, parking of vehicles and vessels, signs, direction to leave park, damage of property, removal of property and penalty.
