The present Act enters into force on 26 February 1979.
Abstract

The purpose of the present Act is to ensure the correct management of provincial lands. The Department of Agriculture and Food shall administer provincial lands in accordance with this Act. The Act deals with, amongst others, transfer of lands to the Department of Agriculture and Food and Department of Environment and Resource Management, disposal of provincial lands, denial of rights through occupation or prescription, public access to lakes, rivers, streams, right to construct provincial roads, reservation of mines and minerals, water power, use of water in rivers, lakes, springs, timber, reservation, ratification of grant in certain cases. The text consists of 93 sections.
