Fishing rights shall be registered in the cadastre of waters intended for fishing. The cadastre shall be kept and periodically updated by the competent provincial fisheries office (art. 1, par. 2). Any kind of acquisition of fishing rights must be immediately notified to the competent provincial fisheries office within thirty days from the date of acquisition (art. 1, par. 6). Fishing rights related to public waters pertain to the Province, which may grant the concession to the competent Fisheries Counsel. Article 8 deals with aquaculture, taking into particular account the obligations of operators concerned. Article 9 regulates access to waters intended for fishing. A fishing licence, to be issued by the competent provincial office, is compulsory (art. 11). Article 11/quater refers to fishing permits. Article 14 and 15 lay down particular measures for the protection of fishes and for the conservation of waters intended for fishing, giving particular regard to water works. Article 15/bis concerns research and experimentation. Article 17 sets out penalties to be applied in case of contravention. Article 23 refers to subsidies that may be granted by the Province to aquaculture operators.
