The Protocol shall enter into force from the date of signature.
Abstract

The Parties have agreed to supplement the list of pests, diseases and weeds (art. 1). The Parties pledge to establish the determined frontier points for the transit of planting material from the third countries and to equip them for disinfection of the imported freight (art. 3). The Parties pledge not to sow and plant crops with seeds and planting material (irrespectively of the country of origin thereof) infected by pests and diseases specified in the Article 1 of the Convention and in the Article 1 of the present Protocol within 50 kilometres’ belt along Russian-Iranian border (art. 4). The Parties pledge to equip all cotton-cleaning plants on proper territory situated within the range of 100 kilometres from the frontier with the mechanical worm traps for the analysis of cotton peelings for the purpose of exposure of roseworm and other pests (art. 6).
