Abstract

This Act amends the Protection of the Sea (Civil Liability) Act 1981, the Admiralty Act 1988 and the Protection of the Sea (Powers of Intervention) Act 1981 in consequence of the enactment of the Protection of the Sea (Civil Liability for Bunker Oil Pollution Damage) Act 2008, which gives effect to obligations of the Commonwealth to the International Convention on Civil Liability for Bunker Oil Pollution Damage.
