Abstract These Regulations establish the mandatory requirements and standards to comply for food labelling. In particular, they regulate the accessibility of information for consumers on the ingredients and nutritional value of different food, including symbols showing the contents of food, such as: a high quantity of sodium, sugars or saturated fatty acids, in order to allow consumers to make an informed choice of their foods and to promote public health.
