Entry into force notes
These rules enter into force on the date on which the Act shall come into force.
Abstract

The Rules, consisting of 76 sections divided into eight Chapters, detail out the procedure regarding application for registration of plant variety, establishment of the Plant Varieties and Farmers' Rights Protection Authority and also include provisions on setting up of the national register of plant varieties.
