Abstract

Regulations to implement provisions of the Protection of New Plant Varieties Act, 2001. They make further provision in respect of appointment of agents (reg. 3), signatures by legal persons (reg. 4), marking of application (reg. 8), assignment or transfer of a right (reg. 9), fees (reg. 11), surrender of right (reg. 11), notification of non-compliance (reg. 15), registration of rights (reg. 21), extension of time limits (reg. 24), amendment of documents in the register (reg. 25), administrative directions by the Registrar (reg. 28), etc. The Regulations also contains a number of forms that are prescribed under the Act.
