These regulations enter into force on 1 September 2013.
Abstract

These Regulations, consisting of 27 sections divided into six Parts and completed by one Schedule, implement the Protection of Marine Waters (Prevention of Pollution from Ships) Act 1987 by providing specifications on record keeping on activities, that may cause pollution, related to oil or other noxious substances, packaged harmful substances and garbage and by defining reporting requirements for discharges of prescribed substances and wastes into marine waters. The Regulations are divided as follows: Preliminary (Part 1); Pollution by oil or noxious substances (Part 2); Pollution by packaged harmful substances (Part 3); Pollution by garbage (Part 4); Reporting requirements (Part 5); Miscellaneous, fee for deposit of oil record book or cargo record book and exemptions (Part 6). Schedule 1 deals with discharge report.
