Abstract

The Governor in Council may make Orders under section 3 to declare infected districts, areas or parcels, for the quarantine of such infected areas, for the cleansing or disinfecting of such areas, etc. Further the Governor in Council may declare by Order notifiable diseases and infectious diseases and prescribe the measures that shall be taken for the treatment of such diseases (sect. 3). Powers of officers appointed under section 4 are described in section 5. Owners of land shall notify authorities on notifiable diseases occurring on their land under section 6, and if they do not do so, the Superintendent of Agriculture may order measures to be carried out under section 7. The Governor in Council may acquire land declared to be infected under section 9. Such land may be fenced under section 10. (13 sections)
