The text contains 11 sections about various measures of protection and conservation and 2 Schedules specifying waters in which the catching of certain fish species is prohibitedwithouth a valid licence, specifying fish species of which the catching or sale in certain periods is prohibited, and containing a form of a licence for catching of carps in Prohibited Waters. Regulation 3 prohibits the erection of fixed engines in rivers and canals. No fish shall be destroyed by making use of poison or explosives (regs. 4 and 5). Licences issued under regulation 8 shall be issued only for purposes of pisciculture. Regulations prohibits the catching, carrying, transporting, offering for sale or possessing of frogs.
