A grant (“product stewardship (oil) benefit”) is payable under this Act to persons who were registered for entitlement to product stewardship (oil) benefits when they made a claim for payment of the product stewardship (oil) benefit. The grant is paid for the sale or consumption of recycled oil that is recycled in Australia. The grant applies only in relation to consumption in Australia of gazetted oil for a gazetted use. An Oil Stewardship Advisory Council is established by section 11. The function of the Advisory Council is to advise the Minister on the product stewardship arrangements for oils and other matters set out in section 12.
