Abstract This Act provides safety requirements for marketed products and product-related services and the bases for organization of market supervision. The act applies to products and product-related services marketed in Estonia or exported to a Member state of the European Union. This Act applies to products, services and the organization of market supervision in so far as there are no specific provisions in other acts. The document consists of 6 Chapters that contain 15 paragraphs. Chapter 1 lays down general provisions. Chapter 2 deals with determination of safety. Chapter 3 determines duties of producers, service providers and distributors. Chapter 4 concerns market supervision. Chapter 5 establishes liability. Chapter 6 lays down implementing provision.
