The Act consists of 47 articles divided into 8 Chapters: General provisions (I); Standards, specifications and marks of livestock products, etc. (II); Sanitation control of livestock products (III); Inspection (IV); Permission of business operation and reports (V); Supervision (VI); Supplementary provisions (VII); Penal provisions (VIII). The term "livestock" means cattle, horses, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, and other animals for food as prescribed by the Presidential Decree. The term "livestock products" means meat, wrapped meat, crude milk, edible eggs, processed meat products, processed milk products and processed egg products. The slaughter and dissection of livestock, milk collection and processing, wrapping and storing of livestock products shall be accomplished in workshops to which permission is granted. Sanitation control standards and concentrated control standards of injurious factors shall be prescribed by the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry (arts. 8 and 9). Full text English
