This Resolution enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Resolution consisting of 6 articles aims at establishing a nature reserve within the boundaries indicated in the area of Saint Catherine in the South Sinai Governorate. It will be managed by an Executive Council headed by the South Sinai Governorate. Article 3 prohibits to carry out actions, behaviors, activities or procedures that would destroy, damage or deteriorate the natural environment, harm wildlife, marine or plant life, or affect their aesthetic level in the aforementioned protected areas (these actions are indicated in detail). The Executive Council undertakes the functions that aim to develop and advance the reserve, and in particular, to (i) prepare the necessary programs and studies to promote and develop the reserve; (ii) monitor environmental phenomena and make an inventory of terrestrial and marine organisms and establish a dedicated register for each of them; (iii) manage and coordinate the related activities ; (iv) inform and educate the public of the objectives and purposes of establishing nature reserves (art.5).
