Prime Minister’s Decision No. 1956 of 2000 regarding the ban, within six months from the date of this decision, on public service and economic bodies, the Endowments Authority, local administration units, agencies with private budgets, public sector bodies and companies, and public business sector companies to dispose of the sale in the vacant lands owned by them or entitled to dispose of them located within the cordons of cities and villages.

The competent authorities shall implement this Resolution.
Abstract

This Resolution consisting of 3 articles aims at prohibiting ministries, public service and economic bodies, the Awqaf Authority, local administration units, agencies that have special budgets, public sector bodies and companies, and public business sector companies from disposing of selling in the empty lands owned or entitled to dispose of them located within the cordons of cities and villages. The disposal or allotment of the lands referred to is limited to projects that provide basic services to citizens, such as schools, hospitals, bakeries, youth centers, public utilities, and others (art.3).
