Abstract

The object of this Act, consisting of 46 sections divided into six Parts and completed by one Schedule, is to develop food safety schemes for primary industries that reduce risks to consumers and primary industry markets associated with unsafe or unsuitable primary produce. The Governor may make regulations establishing advisory committees and food safety schemes for a specified class of activities involved in the production of primary produce.
