Abstract

These Regulations implement the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1985 by providing specifications on prohibited medical or surgical procedures, the elaboration of codes of practice for the treatment of animals, the size of cages for domestic fowls, the prohibition of the possession of animals for purpose of fighting and on the use of animals for teaching and research activities.
