Abstract Part II of this Act lays down penalties for the offences of bribery; bribery for giving assistance, etc., in regard to contracts; bribery for procuring withdrawals of tenders; bribery in relation to auctions; bribery of public servants by persons having dealings with public bodies; and corrupt transactions with agents. Part III provides for the special powers of investigation, including the power to obtain information; powers of search and to obtain assistance; and presumption of corruption in certain cases.
