Abstract The President, in order to radically improve manufacturing and trade of liquors, introduction of modern advanced technologies viticulture, attract foreign investment and increase export potential of enterprises, decrees to cancel beginning from 1 April 2018 the requirement to establish the shelf life (expiry date) of wine products to grant and producers of such products to determine autonomously the period of its storage; beginning from 1 July 2018 wine-making enterprises shall be granted the right of vending their own produce in winery tasting rooms in locations along tourist routes; beginning from 1 January 2019 production of natural wines, wine materials and brandy alcohol, as well as processing of grapes, shall be authorize for enterprises with grape plantations of no less than 100 hectares, owning oak barrels for storage and ageing of wines and cognac, along with compliance with other legislative requirements; and beginning from 1 January 2019 shall be abolished licensing of activities for the manufacturing of natural grape wines, produced from the raw materials of their own vineyards with the classification of such wines as agricultural commodities.
