Particularly, the Agency is responsible for preventing the entry, exit and spread of quarantine pests and diseases, genetic resources, biological agents, invasive alien species, wild plants and animals, and rare plants and animals that are imported into, and exported from the territory of the country. The Regulation defines positions, tasks, functions, work procedures, appointment and dismissal of members of the Agency; its funding and specifies the transitional provisions for the integration of quarantine tasks and functions from other ministries into the Indonesian Quarantine Agency.
