Abstract

This Presidential Regulation, in order to implement provisions of article 12 paragraph (4) and article 13 paragraph (1) of Law no. 25 of 2007 concerning Investment, provides for increasing investment activities in Indonesia, in the context of implementing Indonesia's commitments in relation to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations/ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). The Regulation classifies: closed and open business fields in relation to certain investment activities; business fields reserved for micro, small, medium enterprises and cooperatives. Matters covered by this Regulation include: issuance of business permits; definition of limits on capital ownership of foreign investors; obligations of investors to comply with the provisions and conditions for carrying out business activities issued by the institutions.
