This Regulation defines the following relevant terms: inter-regional sea areas; coastal waters; marine spatial structure; marine spatial pattern; cultivation area; protected areas; public utilisation area; conservation area; national strategic area, where spatial planning is prioritised; shipping channels, considered safe and secure for navigation; port and fishing port; mining activity; marine tourism; activities related to processing and marketing of salt; fish resources; central and regional governments; customary law communities; delimitation of the boundaries of the zoning Plan for the Flores Marine Interregional Area; the operationalisation of the national regional Spatial Plan; coordinating and synchronising development programs in the Flores Marine interregional area.
