Entry into force notes
This Order enters into force as from 1 January 1981 except the provisions of article 18 which shall enter into force on the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Order aims at harmonizing the Greek legislative frame with Council Directives Nos. 64/54/EEC, 65/66/EEC, 70/357/EEC and 74/329/EEC as amended, referring to food additives. The Order provides for the colouring matters; the preservatives; the antioxidants; the emulsifiers, stabilizers, thickeners and gelling agents, which are authorized for use in foodstuffs intended for human consumption. It also sets forth provisions for the labelling, presentation and advertising of foodstuffs for sale to the ultimate consumer.
