This Order shall come into force as from the date of its publication in the official gazette.
Abstract

An Order to provide for the implementation of the EC policy relative to animal protection during slaughtering. This Order shall apply to transfer, stalling, immobilisation, slaughtering and putting to death of animals which are breed for the production of meat, fur and other animal products; shall also apply to the methods of putting to death in order to avoid the spread of diseases, in compliance with the aforementioned Directive. The provisions of this Order shall not apply when a scientific experiment is carried out, during athletic or cultural shows and to wild game according to the provisions of Presidential Order 11/1995.
