Abstract This Presidential Decree, consisting of 40 articles divided into eight Chapters, establishes the Management of Protected Areas. The objective of this Presidential Regulation aims to prevent damage to environmental sector. The goal is managing the protection of the nature, climate, plants and animals and the cultural heritage as well as the historical and cultural values of the nation. It seeks to maintain plant diversity, animals, system types, and natural uniqueness. Protected areas as referred above include: 1. Regions that provide protection for subordinate areas; 2. Local Protection Areas; 3. Nature Reserve and Cultural Reserves; 4. Natural disaster prone areas. Protection of natural disaster prone areas is carried out to protect humans and their activities from disasters caused by nature or indirectly by human actions. Full text Indonesian Website brg.go.id
