This Presidential Decree enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Abstract

The President, with a view of improvement of the system of state management in the sphere of ecology and environmental protection, decrees to assign to the State Committee on Ecology and Environmental Protection the following tasks: (a) state management in the sphere of ecology, environmental protection, rational use and reproduction of natural resources; (b) organization of an efficient system for collecting, transporting, recycling and disposal of domestic waste; (c) ensuring a favorable ecological state of the environment, protection of ecological systems, natural complexes and individual objects, rehabilitation of ecological situation; (d) state environmental control over compliance with legislation in protection and use of land, mineral resources, water, forests, protected natural territories, flora and fauna, protection of atmospheric air, waste management; (e) keeping the state register in the sphere of ecology and environmental protection, as well as state registration of nurseries for the breeding and keeping of wild fauna and flora species, zoological and botanical collections; (f) organization of environmental education and advocacy, as well as retraining and advanced training of specialists in the field of ecology and environmental protection.
