Abstract The President, in order to protect pastures, ensure their rational use, as well as further development of ferula cultivation and the widespread use of resource-saving technologies in pastures appoints Committee for the development of sericulture and wool industry under the Ministry of Agriculture responsible body in the field of use and protection of pastures belonging thereto. The Committee on its pastures must to take the following measures: (a) the use and protection of pastures, including the organization and control of the rational and targeted use of pastures by users, regardless of their form of ownership; (b) the development of ferula cultivation, the effective use of wild ferula, as well as the preservation of its distribution areas and the increase in ferula cultural plantations; and (c) implementation of state control and effective management in the use of pastures. There shall be established the procedure in accordance with which, when creating ferula cultural plantations, periodic monitoring shall be carried out by the Committee within two years from the date of registration of planting acts, and based on the results of monitoring, the plant germination area is entered by the Ministry of Natural Resources into the state register as a plantation. In order to ensure the natural population, reproduction and restoration of the Tajik ferula plant, listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan, shall be applied a moratorium on the use of Tajik ferula for a period of three years starting from this year. The Committee, together with the Ministry of Natural Resources and ministries and departments concerned, should take appropriate measures for the use without permits (extraction from nature, collection, felling, damage, destruction) and sale on land under its jurisdiction of all types of ferula plants included and not included in Red Data Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
