Abstract The President, in order to ensure employment and increase the income of the population by introducing a favorable tax regime for homeworkers, expanding financial support measures to establish their activities, as well as encouraging the broad involvement of business entities of homeworkers in their activities, allows employers to involve self-employed persons in the production of goods, performance of work and provision of services as homeworkers. This Presidential Decree establishes that self-employed persons employed as homeworkers, along with the benefits and preferences provided for self-employed persons, are also subject to the benefits and preferences established for homeworking. Cottage industry activities include: (a) apiculture; (b) collection, cultivation at home and sale of mushrooms; (c) growing greenhouse products at home; and (d) labelling of ready goods.
