Abstract

The President, with a view of cardinal improvement of the quality of training of engineering and technical staff for agriculture and water management sectors, further strengthening of the material and technical base and scientific and technical potential of the profile of higher educational institutions, introduction and application of advanced communication technologies into the educational processes, organization of training and upgrading of the qualification of staff, decrees as follows: (a) to identify the main tasks and areas of activity of the Tashkent Institute of Agricultural Irrigation and Mechanization, including the training of highly skilled, demanded engineering and technical personnel in the field of agriculture and water management for wider use of modern agricultural and drainage equipment in the agricultural sector, machines and mechanisms, water-saving technologies; (b) elaboration of state educational standards, plans of studies, scientific and methodological substantiation in the field of agriculture and water management with the consideration of the best international practices aimed at modernization of agricultural production; (c) introduction of applied and innovative research and development activities; and (d) ensuring continuity of educational programs and vocational training of staff.
