Abstract The present Decree provides for establishing rules and procedures concerning the exports of dried figs and fig paste. Export of such products is allowed provided that the provisions of this Decree regarding standardization and packing of figs are fulfilled and that the products are certified by qualitative control certificates, as provided for under article 12 (paragraph 1) of Legislative Decree No. 3999/1959. In particular, the Decree consists of 14 articles composed as follows: products for exportation – conditions for exporting such products (art. 1); commercial qualitative categories for dried figs (art. 2); standards for commercial qualitative categories of dried figs (art. 3); commercial qualitative categories for fig paste (art. 4); standards for commercial qualitative categories for fig paste (art. 5); dried figs packaging (art. 6); labelling (art. 7); qualitative control of figs (art. 9); repealed legislation (art. 9); entry into force (art. 10).
