Ministry of Transport is central executive body entitled with the task of carrying out state policy in the field of transport of the Ukraine and navigation and hydrographical provision of navigation. The main tasks of the Ministry of Transport are: 1) state management of transport of the Ukraine and navigation and hydrographical provision of navigation; 2) ensuring realization of state policy as regards development of transport in the Ukraine, national network of international transport corridors and navigation and hydrographical provision of navigation; 3) ensuring interaction and coordination of functioning sea and fluvial transport; 4) validates branch standards and carries out certification; 5) sets conditions for the reduction of hazardous environmental impact and ensuring ecological safety on transport; 6) acts as state customer of scientific research programs in the sphere of ecological problems of transport branch of the Ukraine.
