Abstract This Decree approves the Regulation on the Traceability, Commercialization and Distribution of Fishery, Aquaculture and Salt Products. This Regulation, consisting of 30 articles divided into five Chapters, establishes the requirements to perform the above mentioned activities. It applies to the trade process of the mentioned products, from the first sale until its acquisition by the consumer, marketed in the national territory, regardless of the their National or foreign origin, and even if prepackaged, with the exception of fish produced in aquaculture establishments, if sold by the subsistence fishermen, the rock or marine salt produced and marketed in the units themselves. It also regulates the Registration and Inspection, commercial activity and licensing, control of the safety and quality of fish, fishery products, aquaculture and salt, infringements and penalties and establishes the price regime.
