It establishes quality standards of said products and hygienic requirements for their production as well as the conditions for the registration and inspections of factories. Further provisions concern inter alia: (a) transport, storage and processing of milk and dairy products; (b) inspections by the authorities of the European Commission; (c) inspections by authorized laboratories and by the National Health Authority.
