Abstract This Presidential Decree establishes that the scope of the Strategy shall be early recovery of sustainable economic growth and approaching standards of living of the national population to those of the developed countries. Particular emphasis shall be put on investment efficiency, attraction of direct foreign investments, development of fuel and energy complex, ensuring competitiveness of agriculture, development of forestry, sustainable use of natural resources, environmental protection and passage to “green” economy. In energy sector priority shall be attributed to development of nuclear energy and renewable energy, and also ensuring energy security and stable energy supply to consumers. In agriculture priority shall be attributed to financial recovery of agricultural organizations and manufacturing of ecofriendly fertilizers. Strategic development goals in forestry sector shall be improvement of forest productivity and quality of forests, rising by 20 percent of forestry profitability due to increment of allowable timber extraction and three times increase of the amount of extracted timber. In the sphere of “green” economy priority shall be attributed to stimulation of ecofriendly processes and organic agriculture, ecological certification and labelling.
