Abstract In execution of the provisions of Law No. 3428/2005, this Law establishes the legal entity who shall be the designated authority for carrying out the function of transmission of natural gas and is responsible for operating, ensuring the maintenance of, and if necessary, developing the transmission system in a given area and, where applicable, its interconnections with other systems, and for ensuring the long-term ability of the system to meet reasonable demands for the transportation of gas, with due regard to the environment.
