Abstract This Presidential Decree approves the Statute of the Ministry of Oil. The Statute, consisting of 4 Chapters and 2 Annexes, specifies composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution, entitled as follows: to design and propose the National policy basis on oil and bio fuel; to elaborate the development programme on oil and bio fuel exploitation, according to the National Plan; to carry out researches on oil potentialities in Angola; to study and propose a legislation regulating the activities in this sector; to control the implementation of such activities; to carry out research on hydrocarbons, production, processing and trade of crude oil and natural gas, storage, transport and supply of derivatives, including bio fuel.
