Abstract This Decree states that the State Phytosanitary Control Service is the executive body and shall carry out state control over plant protection and quarantine, pesticides, biological agents and other plant protection practices. This Decree specifies the duties of the State Phytosanitary Control Service such as: a) carrying out state control over plant protection and quarantine in compliance with the legislation, b) setting up rules regarding application of pesticides and other chemicals, c) inspection on chemical, agro-technical, biological, institutional and other activities of land owners and users, d) identification of objects for quarantine and taking quarantine measures, and e) import control over quarantine pests, plant pathogens and wild flora to prevent the spread of plant pests.
