This Presidential Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Presidential Decree approves the Regulation of Agricultural Cooperatives. This Regulation, consisting of 36 articles divided into seven Chapters, regulates agricultural cooperatives, in particular as regards their constitution, services provided, criteria for access to subsidies, tax and financial benefits, dispute settlement and procedures in the application of penalties. This Presidential Decree applies to first-degree and higher-level agricultural cooperatives. Cooperatives in the agricultural sector are guided by the following objectives: a) Promote the rational use and valorization of the agricultural exploitation; b) Contribute to the technical and economic development of agricultural exploitation; e) Contribute to the interests protection of its members; d) Promote education, technical and professional training of its members; e) Contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of the communities; j) Promote and support the marketing of agricultural products of its members; g) Stimulate products processing industries; h) Disseminate technical, economic, juridical and environmental information; i) Encourage safety control on the quality of agricultural products; etc.
