Abstract

This Presidential Decree, consiting of 14 articles, establishes the allocation to the Ministry of Geology and Mining of a regulatory instrument for the implementation of legal, administrative and economic measures under the Mining Code, approved by Law No. 31/11 of 23 September. It leads to the normalization of the situation of non-active mining licenses, aiming to conform the current mining concessions to the provisions of the mining Code and to ensure the release of the areas whose owners have not observed the conditions, requirements and obligations that the legislation requires for mining geological activities.
