Abstract This Presidential Decree, consisting of 6 sections and one table, approves the National Programme to the Support of Rural Woman. The Programme aims at contributing to fighting against hunger and poverty through the promotion of rural women's involvement into the socio-economic development process of the country and defines the following specific objectives: promoting the development of the local and community economy, minimizing the migration phenomena from rural areas to town, improving the social and food security conditions of women and rural households in general, and taking into consideration the gender bias and the gender mainstreaming National legislation.
