Abstract For the protection of livestock-farming from infectious and parasitic diseases the competent Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture shall draw up programmes establishing the necessary sanitary measures (article 1). For the protection of the local livestock-farming, article 2 prescribes the measures to be followed in the event of infectious and parasitic diseases breakouts. Article 3 lists down, in compliance with the provisions of Royal Decree 26-3/24.4.1936, the diseases which have to be declared to the competent authorities.
