This Presidential Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Presidential Decree establishing the competences of the Ministry of Land, Environment and Rural Development. The Ministry is a central organ of the State that, according to the principles, objectives and tasks defined by the Government, directs, plans, coordinates, controls and ensures the implementation of policies in the fields of administration and management of Land and Geomatics, Forests and Wildlife, Environment, Conservation Areas and Rural Development, created by Presidential Decree No. 1/2015 of 16 January. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the Ministry, entitled to perform the following activities: a) Planning and territorial ordering for the sustainable development of the country; b) Propose policies and strategies for the integrated development of land, environment, conservation areas, forests, wildlife and rural development; c) Land administration and management; d) Management and sustainable use of forests and wildlife; e) Administration of the national network of conservation areas; f) Planning, promotion and coordination of integrated and sustainable rural development; g) Promotion of the development of knowledge in the field of land, environment, rural development and related areas; h) Guarantee, maintenance and development of cooperation in the area of ​​land, environment, forests, wildlife and rural development; i) Definition and implementation of awareness and dissemination strategies; j) Intersectoral coordination and sustainable use of available resources for sustainable development.
