Abstract This Executive Decree, consisting of 27 articles and one Annex, approves Marine Fisheries, Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture Management Measures for the year 2018. These Management Measures are fundamentally aimed at adjusting the capacity of the catches to the available potential of Aquatic Biological Resources and Aquaculture to ensure the protection and conservation of species at risk of sustainability and of the species associated with them and their habitats. It establishes that all vessels including artisanal fishing vessels with an overall length of more than 7m shall be provided with appropriate means of communication as well as navigational and guidance instruments, such as compass and GPS. All industrial and semi-industrial fishing vessels, using any fishing gear, must install on board the Continuous Monitoring Equipment (EMC), in accordance with current legislation. All industrial and semi-industrial fishing vessels must allow the entry and stay on board of fishing observers, in accordance with Executive Order No. 83/07 of 27 July.
