Abstract This Presidential Decree approves the Regulation on sanctions applicable to offences, infractions or non-compliance with the legislation establishing the regime for the exercise of public water supply and wastewater sanitation activities, as well as the determinations and recommendations of the Regulatory Entity for Water and Wastewater Sanitation. It also establishes the norms that conduct to the contravention process and defines the general rules on deadlines, notifications and decision. This Regulation apply, throughout Angola, to the following stakeholders in the Water and Wastewater Sanitation Subsector: a) Management Entities responsible for the public water supply and wastewater sanitation systems; b) Entities responsible for the distribution of water in rural systems; C) Consumers and customers. The action of this Regulatory Entity is governed by the principle of legality, pursuit of the public interest, proportionality, impartiality and reasoning of the decision.
