The activities of the Agency are (i) setting hygienic rules and standards, (ii) risk assessment, (iii) certification, and (iv) quality control. This Decree sets forth provisions on the establishment and working procedures of the Food Safety Agency, food control by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Agency in the field of veterinary, plant protection and quarantine, international standards and Codex Alimentarius, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, and GMO.
