This Presidential Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Presidential Decree approves the Statute of the Ministry of Oil. The Statute, consisting of 4 Chapters and 2 Annexes, specifies composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution, entitled to perform the following functions: formulation, implementation and control of the executive's policy on the sector of Oil, Gas and Biofuels, including exploration, development, production, refining, marketing of crude oil and gas, petrochemical, storage, transport, distribution and marketing of petroleum products, as well as the production and commercialization of biofuels, in view of to the protection of the environment.
