The Plan outlines the objectives to be attained, priorities and initiatives to be undertaken in this sector (education and research programmes, for instance), taking into particular account the following issues: (1) climate change and ultraviolet radiation; (2) air pollution; (3) potable water shortage; (4) bathing waters; (6) noise pollution; (7) waste disposal; (8) specific hazardous substances, such as asbestos; (9) electromagnetic pollution. Further, Point 5 of the Plan is devoted to food safety and animal health. This part of the Plan describes the national conditions as regards animal health.
