The zone of the Oasis of Siwa, located in the province of Matrooh, shall be considered a protected area as specified in the attached map (art. 1). The Environmental Affairs Apparatus shall be responsible for this protected area (art. 2). Any activities, behaviours or measures which may destroy or damage the ecosystem or wildlife shall be prohibited, including: hunting; fishing; killing or disturbing wildlife; transporting plants; introducing new species; polluting soil and water; discharging waste; and, building structures and roads (art. 3). The Prefect of Matrooh shall carry out the rules of this Resolution (art. 5).
