Section 4 establishes that the Institute is responsible, inter alia, for undertaking testing, research and development projects to develop and improve machinery and electronic equipment; undertaking beef research and development which for the purpose of the present Act means any applied beef research and development or related activity in support of the agriculture or food industry.
